About OrcaSlicer
OrcaSlicer is a community-run, open-source slicer for FDM 3D printers, started by developer SoftFever as a fork of Bambu Studio and now one of the most popular slicers among hobbyists. It ships tuned profiles for hundreds of printers from Bambu Lab, Prusa, Voron, Creality and others, and is known for its built-in calibration tests for flow, pressure advance, temperature and retraction. It gives fine control over individual print moves and can send jobs to printers running Klipper, PrusaLink or OctoPrint, as well as Bambu machines. It's free, licensed under AGPL-3.0, needs no account and, by the project's account, collects no telemetry. Builds are available for Windows, macOS and Linux (AppImage and Flatpak). The large number of settings can be a lot for beginners, and new Bambu printer features sometimes arrive later than in Bambu Studio.
Best for: Hobbyists with mixed or non-Bambu printers who want calibration tools and deep control.
