About Uploadcare
Uploadcare handles the whole file pipeline for an app: a ready-made upload widget that pulls files from the device, camera, Dropbox, Google Drive or a link; storage; automatic checks such as malware and NSFW scanning; and delivery through image and video CDNs that resize, crop and compress on the fly via URL operations. It also converts documents and processes video asynchronously, with webhooks and a REST API for automation. That makes it a good fit for products dealing with user-generated content, where the hard part is accepting files safely rather than just serving images. Pricing is based on operations, traffic and storage: a free plan covers personal projects, Pro and Business plans raise limits and add team seats, and enterprise plans offer HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance, very large files and your own S3 storage. It is a cloud service only.
Best for: Apps that accept user uploads and need a drop-in uploader plus image and video delivery.
