About Weebly

Weebly is one of the original drag-and-drop website builders and has been part of Square since 2018. It offers a block-based editor with themes, a blog, basic SEO tools and an online store, plus an app center for extras like forms and social feeds. The editor is easy to learn and the free plan is enough for a simple site on a Weebly subdomain. Paid plans add a custom domain, more storage and fewer limits, and prices are shown in local currency. The catch is momentum: Square now steers new sellers toward Square Online, and Weebly's templates and features have changed little in years, so it feels dated next to Wix or Squarespace. It still works well for existing users and very basic sites. Everything is edited in the browser and the site is hosted for you.

Best for: Existing users and people who need a very simple site on a free or low-cost plan.
