About WPML

WPML (WordPress Multilingual) is one of the oldest and most widely used ways to run a multilingual WordPress site. It adds language versions of posts, pages, menus, taxonomies and custom fields, translates strings from themes and plugins, and has compatibility work with most major page builders and WooCommerce. You can translate manually in the WordPress editor, use its advanced translation editor with translation memory, send content for automatic machine translation using credits, or connect professional translation services. It is sold as yearly plans with three tiers, from a basic blog option to multilingual CMS and agency plans for many sites, with a refund window. Because it keeps every translation as WordPress content, sites stay portable and fast to serve. It is powerful but heavy: the admin adds a lot of screens, setup takes time, and it can slow down large sites or clash with less common plugins.

Best for: WordPress and WooCommerce sites that need thorough multilingual support.
