About Adobe Photoshop Elements

Photoshop Elements is the simplified, home-user sibling of Photoshop. It wraps common jobs such as removing distractions, restoring old photos, fixing colour and swapping backgrounds in Quick and Guided modes that walk you through each step, while an Expert mode exposes layers and selections for people who want more control. A separate Organizer imports, tags and searches your photo library, and it is shared with Premiere Elements if you buy the video bundle. Recent versions add AI features such as photo expansion and upscaling, some of which need generative credits. It is not a subscription: Adobe now sells each yearly version as a one-time purchase that grants a three-year term, after which the editor stops working although the Organizer catalogue stays accessible. There is a full-featured trial. It runs on Windows and macOS, with companion web and mobile features.

Best for: Home users who want guided photo fixes and an organiser without a monthly bill.
