About Apidog
Apidog is an API platform that tries to cover the whole lifecycle in one tool. You can design APIs with a visual OpenAPI editor, send and debug requests, generate smart mocks from your schemas, build automated test scenarios with assertions, database connections and CI runs, and publish documentation, all kept in sync. It imports from Postman, Insomnia, OpenAPI, cURL and other formats, supports Postman-style scripts, and adds AI features for generating test cases and checking schemas. There are desktop apps for Windows, Mac and Linux and a web version, a free plan for small teams, paid per-user plans, an on-premises edition for companies that need to run it on their own infrastructure, and a separate Europe region for data residency. The trade-offs are an interface that packs in a lot, a cloud-first design for collaboration, and a parallel Chinese product, Apifox, that some users find confusing. It suits teams that want design-first API work in one place.
Best for: Teams that want API design, testing, mocks and docs in a single tool.
