About Auphonic
Auphonic is an Austrian web service that does audio post-production automatically. You upload a recording, or connect a cloud drive or recording tool, and its algorithms balance levels between speakers, reduce noise and reverb, filter hum, cut filler words and silences, and normalise loudness to standards such as those used by podcast platforms and broadcasters. It also creates transcripts, chapters and show notes, encodes multiple output formats including video, and can publish directly to podcast hosts, YouTube and file services. A multitrack mode processes each speaker's track separately before mixing. There is an API and desktop apps for batch work, which makes it popular with podcast networks and radio stations. Auphonic includes a free allowance of processed audio each month, with recurring or one-time credits for more. It doesn't let you edit the content itself, so it is usually paired with an editor such as Audacity, Hindenburg or a DAW. It runs in the browser.
Best for: Podcasters and broadcasters who want consistent, polished sound without manual mixing.
