Hindenburg PRO, from Danish company Hindenburg Systems, is an audio editor designed specifically for spoken-word storytelling rather than music. It was built for radio journalists and is used by public broadcasters, podcasters and audiobook producers. Instead of a dense DAW interface it offers a clean timeline with a clipboard for storing clips, automatic levelling to broadcast loudness standards, voice profiles and EQ tuned for speech, and editing by transcript, where you cut audio by editing text. It also handles multitrack interviews and publishing to podcast hosts. A sister product, Narrator, focuses on audiobook production and exports for ACX. Hindenburg is sold by subscription for individuals, businesses and education, with a 30-day trial that includes free transcription hours, and it runs on Windows and macOS. It is not meant for music production, and its effects and plugin options are more limited than general audio editors.
