About AWS Wickr

AWS Wickr is an end-to-end encrypted messaging and collaboration service run by Amazon Web Services. It covers one-to-one and group messaging, voice and video calls, file and screen sharing, and burn-on-read messages, with admin controls for user management, federation and data retention to meet record-keeping rules. It is managed through the AWS console and billed per user per month, with Standard and Premium plans and a free three-month Premium trial. AWS WickrGov runs in AWS GovCloud for US government users, and Wickr Enterprise is a self-hosted version for organisations that need to run it on their own infrastructure. Clients are available for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android. It suits government agencies, defence and regulated companies that need encrypted communication with retention and compliance controls, especially if they already use AWS.

Best for: Government and regulated organisations that need encrypted chat with retention controls.
