About Bunpro
Bunpro focuses on Japanese grammar, the area kanji apps such as WaniKani leave out. Grammar points are organised by JLPT level from N5 to N1, each with explanations, example sentences and links to outside resources, and you practise by filling in the grammar point in context, with spaced repetition scheduling reviews. It has added vocabulary decks, reading passages and custom decks, and it can sync with textbooks such as Genki. The free tier lets you browse grammar and vocabulary pages and reading material; SRS reviews and decks need Premium, sold monthly, yearly or as a lifetime licence. The fill-in-the-blank format can be strict about accepted answers, and it is a practice tool, not a full course or speaking coach. It runs in the browser and in iOS and Android apps. Bunpro suits Japanese learners preparing for the JLPT or reinforcing textbook grammar.
Best for: Japanese learners drilling grammar for the JLPT or alongside a textbook.
