About Calibre-Web
Calibre-Web is an open-source web front end for an ebook library managed with the desktop app Calibre. Point it at a Calibre database and it gives you a clean browser interface to browse, search and filter books, read them in the browser, download them, and edit metadata, with support for multiple users and permissions. It offers an OPDS feed for e-reader apps, one-click sending of books to Kindle or other e-readers by email, and sync with Kobo devices. It is written in Python and installs via pip or Docker images maintained by the community. Calibre-Web is free under the GPL v3. It depends on Calibre's database format, so adding and converting books often still happens best in Calibre itself, and it is aimed at prose ebooks rather than comics. A community fork, Calibre-Web Automated, adds automatic ingest for people who want less manual work.
Best for: Calibre users who want to read and share their ebook library from any browser or e-reader.
