About Codecov

Codecov collects the coverage reports your test suite already produces in CI and turns them into pull request comments, status checks and dashboards that show which lines are untested. It works with nearly any language, CI service and code host, including GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket. Features include patch coverage for just the changed lines, flags and components for monorepos, carryforward flags for partial test runs, test analytics that surface failing and flaky tests, and bundle analysis that tracks JavaScript bundle size. Newer AI features can generate unit tests and review pull requests. Codecov was owned by Sentry for several years and is now part of Harness, with the brand kept and open-source projects still free. Pricing has a free Developer plan for one user and open-source repositories, per-user Team and Pro plans, and custom Enterprise contracts with dedicated cloud hosting. It runs as a hosted service.

Best for: Teams that want coverage gates and flaky-test insight in pull requests across any language and CI.
