About Daylio

Daylio is a micro-diary and mood tracker for iPhone and Android. Each entry takes a couple of taps: pick a mood from a five-point emoji scale and the activities that filled your day, then optionally add a note, photos or a voice memo. Over time it turns those entries into charts, including correlations between activities and mood and a Year in Pixels view where every day is a coloured dot. Goals can be built in, so it doubles as a light habit tracker. Moods and activities are fully customisable. Data is stored on your device by default, protected by an optional PIN lock, and backed up to Google Drive or iCloud, and you can export PDF or CSV files. The app is free with ads and some limits; Premium removes them and unlocks advanced stats, extra moods and more. It is one of the most popular mood trackers, though people wanting long-form journaling will find the writing tools basic.

Best for: People who want a quick daily mood log that shows which activities lift or sink them.
