About Dub
Dub started as an open-source alternative to Bitly and has grown into a link attribution platform. Dub Links covers branded short links on your own domains, custom QR codes, UTM templates, folders, tags, link cloaking, device and geo targeting and real-time analytics. On higher plans it adds conversion tracking, so you can see which links led to sign-ups and sales, A/B testing and customer insights. Dub Partners builds affiliate and referral programmes on top, with partner payouts. Developers get a REST API, SDKs, webhooks and an MCP server. The code is public on GitHub under AGPL-3.0 (with enterprise features under a separate licence), and the docs explain how to self-host it, though that relies on several cloud services. The hosted version has a free plan and paid plans with a 14-day trial, priced by tracked events and new links per month. It is web-based. It is aimed at startups and growth teams, so some features feel heavy for people who just want short links.
Best for: Startups and growth teams that want short links tied to conversions, with an open codebase.
