About Elisa
Elisa is the music player developed by the KDE community, the default on many Plasma desktops. It is deliberately simple: it indexes the music on your computer and lets you browse by album, artist, genre or folder, build a play queue and playlists, and listen to internet radio, without the dense menus of older library managers. It integrates with the Plasma desktop, including media controls and notifications, supports touch-friendly layouts on Plasma Mobile, and respects privacy, with no online accounts or tracking. Builds are also available for Windows and Android. It is free and open source, distributed through Linux distributions, Flathub and app stores. The flip side of its simplicity is that advanced users miss features such as detailed tag editing, smart playlists, scrobbling and equalisers, and it is not built for streaming services or remote servers. It suits Linux users who want a clean player that just works.
Best for: Linux desktop users who want a clean, simple player for local music.
