About HelpWire

HelpWire is a remote support app aimed at small IT providers and help desks. A technician sends a link, the client runs a small app and approves the session, and the operator gets screen view and control and file transfer; approved devices can also be kept for unattended access so follow-up fixes don't need the user present. The pitch is low friction and low cost: the free plan has no nag screens, allows commercial use and includes one active operator, a handful of unattended devices and unlimited on-demand sessions, one at a time. Paid plans raise the number of operators, unattended devices and simultaneous sessions, starting with a Solo plan for independent technicians; yearly billing gets two months free. The operator app runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. It is a young product with fewer advanced features, such as scripting, session recording or deep RMM tools, than established support suites.

Best for: Solo technicians and small help desks that need free or cheap remote support.
