About Joplin

Joplin is an open-source note-taking and to-do app that organizes Markdown notes into notebooks and tags. It can synchronize through Joplin Cloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, Nextcloud, WebDAV or a self-hosted Joplin Server, with optional end-to-end encryption. A web clipper saves pages from the browser, and plugins extend the editor. Notes can be exported as Markdown, HTML or PDF, and it can import an Evernote export file, which makes it a common landing spot for people leaving Evernote. Apps are available on desktop and mobile.

Best for: Leaving Evernote for an open-source app with encrypted sync.
