About Tana Outliner

Tana Outliner is a knowledge tool built as one big outline of nodes. Its signature feature is supertags: tag a node as a #meeting, #task or #book and it gains fields, views and automations, so loose notes become a database you can query in tables, boards and calendars. It adds AI commands, voice capture, meeting transcription and an input API for connecting other tools. A free plan covers personal notes with a monthly AI allowance, and paid Plus and Pro plans add more AI credits, transcription minutes and automation, with half-price plans for students, academics and NGOs. Tana's company now also sells a separate agentic meeting product under the main Tana name, and the note-taking outliner lives at its own address. The trade-offs are a steep learning curve, cloud-only storage, and a design that rewards people who enjoy building systems. It suits power users who want structured notes and tasks in one graph.

Best for: Power users who want notes, tasks and meetings as queryable structured data.
