About Lingvanex

Lingvanex makes translation software for both consumers and businesses. On the consumer side it has translator apps for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android, browser extensions for Chrome, Safari and Firefox, and a Slack bot. For companies it sells an on-premise machine translation server and offline translation SDKs that developers can embed in mobile and desktop apps, so text never has to leave the device or company network. It also offers speech recognition on the same terms. The pitch is privacy and predictable cost: a self-hosted server with unlimited usage rather than per-character cloud fees. Consumer apps can be tried for free with paid upgrades, while business products are licensed on quotes. Translation quality is generally decent but behind DeepL and Google on difficult texts, and the product range is broad enough that it can be hard to tell which offering fits; the website is busy with overlapping product pages.

Best for: Companies that want on-premise or offline translation without per-character cloud fees.
