About Lockdown Privacy

Lockdown Privacy is a firewall app for Apple devices that blocks trackers, ads and known malicious domains in every app, not just Safari. The firewall runs on the device itself, so your traffic is not sent to Lockdown's servers, and a log shows what each blocked connection was. You can turn block lists on or off by category and add your own domains. The firewall is free and open source, with code published on GitHub, and it is available for iPhone, iPad and Mac. A separate, paid Secure Tunnel VPN adds encrypted traffic and IP hiding for people who want it. It is a good companion to a Safari content blocker for anyone who wants to see and stop the tracking inside apps. Because it uses iOS's local VPN slot, you cannot run another VPN at the same time unless you use Lockdown's own.
