About Lotti
Lotti is a personal logbook that combines a daily journal, tasks with checklists and time tracking, habits and imported health data such as Apple Health, plus audio recordings that can be transcribed locally with Whisper. Its distinctive idea is a set of AI agents that read what you record and propose next steps or updates, which you approve before anything changes. Lotti has no AI service of its own: you connect providers you choose, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral or a local Ollama model, or switch AI off entirely. Data lives in local databases on your devices, there is no Lotti account or telemetry, and devices sync end-to-end encrypted through a Matrix homeserver you host or pick. It suits privacy-minded people who want journaling and self-tracking in one place. Lotti is free and open source under the GPLv3, with builds for macOS, Linux, iOS and Android; the Apple builds are distributed through TestFlight, and Windows needs building from source.
Best for: Privacy-minded self-trackers who want journal, tasks and habits in one local-first app.
