About MiroTalk

MiroTalk is a family of open-source, browser-based video conferencing apps built on WebRTC by an independent developer. MiroTalk P2P connects participants directly peer to peer, which gives low latency for small calls, while MiroTalk SFU routes media through a server for larger meetings. Both run in any modern browser with no install, and include screen sharing, chat, a collaborative whiteboard, file sharing, recording, live transcription that can use a self-hosted Whisper model, noise suppression, and host controls such as lobbies, OIDC login and JWT-protected rooms. Meetings can be embedded in websites through an iframe or API. You can use the free public demo instances, deploy the code on your own server with Docker or Node.js following the documentation, or buy commercial licences and hosted plans. The projects are licensed under AGPLv3. It suits developers and small organisations that want a free, self-hostable meeting app they can customise or embed, and are comfortable running it.

Best for: Developers and small organisations who want a free meeting app to self-host or embed.
