About Motorway
Motorway is a UK service for selling a car or van to dealers rather than private buyers. You get a free instant valuation from your registration, then use its app to photograph and describe the car. It's listed in a daily online auction where a network of thousands of verified dealers bid, and Motorway passes on the highest offer. If you accept, the dealer collects the car from your home and usually pays the same day, often through Motorway's own payment system. Listing and valuation are free; a service fee based on the final sale price is charged only if the car sells. It also handles cars with outstanding finance and offers tools such as MOT, tax and ULEZ checks and a car value tracker. It typically gets more than a part exchange or instant-buy service, but the final price depends on the auction, and the car is sold to a trade buyer.
Best for: UK sellers who want dealers to compete for their car without visiting a branch.
