About Postiz

Postiz is an open-source social media scheduling tool that has grown fast on GitHub as a self-hostable alternative to Buffer and Hootsuite. It offers a calendar and queue, previews, team members, approvals, customer groups for agencies, analytics, AI-generated text and images, RSS auto-posting and webhooks, and it publishes to a very wide list of platforms, including the usual big networks plus Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, Reddit, Discord, Telegram and developer blogs. It also leans into automation, with an API, CLI and MCP server so AI agents can draft and schedule posts. You can run it yourself with Docker under the AGPL-3.0 licence for no software cost, or pay for the hosted cloud version, which is priced per month by number of channels with a short trial. Self-hosting means handling your own updates and creating developer apps for each network's API, which takes some effort. The hosted service runs in the browser.

Best for: Developers and privacy-minded teams who want to self-host their social scheduler.
