About Sudowrite

Sudowrite is aimed squarely at novelists, screenwriters and other fiction writers. Its tools describe a scene with more sensory detail, continue a passage in your style, rewrite dialogue, suggest plot twists, generate characters and give feedback on a chapter. Story Bible walks you from an idea to a synopsis, outline and chapter beats, and then drafts prose from them, while a fiction-tuned chat lets you talk through problems with the manuscript. It uses its own Muse models trained for fiction alongside many mainstream models. Everything runs in the browser and is paid for with monthly credit allowances: the cheapest plan suits hobbyists and students, Professional fits a novel-length project, and Max is for authors publishing several books a year, with unused credits rolling over. A free trial needs no card. Some writers object to generative AI in fiction on principle, and drafted prose still needs heavy editing to sound like you.

Best for: Fiction writers who want help brainstorming, outlining and drafting scenes.
