About Supernotes

Supernotes is a notes app built around notecards rather than long documents. Each card holds a short idea with rich content such as maths, code, images and tables, and cards can be nested inside several parents, linked with backlinks, tagged and viewed in a graph, so a collection grows into a knowledge base without one rigid folder tree. Cards can be shared with friends for real-time collaboration, and there is a heatmap calendar of your activity, an API and integrations. It runs on Mac, Windows, Linux, Android, iOS and the web, with fast sync and offline editing. The free Starter plan gives you 100 cards, with more earned by completing tutorial challenges, and the Unlimited plan, billed monthly, yearly or as a four-year licence, removes the cap with a 14-day money-back guarantee. The trade-offs are the low free limit, a card format that doesn't suit long documents, and a small team behind it. It suits students and thinkers who like atomic, Zettelkasten-style notes.

Best for: Students and thinkers who like short, linked notecards in a Zettelkasten style.
