About Swiggy
Swiggy is one of India's two big food delivery apps. You order from local restaurants and track the rider live, but the same app also covers Instamart, its quick-commerce grocery service that delivers household items in minutes, and Dineout for table bookings and restaurant discounts. Swiggy started with food delivery in 2014, added Instamart in 2020 and bought Dineout in 2022. The app is free to use; you pay menu prices plus delivery and platform fees, and an optional Swiggy One membership removes or cuts delivery fees and adds extra discounts. It runs on Android, iOS and the web and only operates in India, where coverage is strongest in large cities. For most people the choice is between Swiggy and Zomato, and many keep both installed to compare restaurant offers and fees on each order.
Best for: People in Indian cities who want food, groceries and dining deals from one app.
