About Weights & Biases
Weights & Biases (W&B) is a platform for teams that train machine learning models and build AI applications. Adding a few lines of its Python library to a training script logs hyperparameters, metrics, system usage and model files to a dashboard where runs can be compared, grouped into reports and shared. It integrates with PyTorch, Keras, Hugging Face, Lightning, scikit-learn, XGBoost and many other libraries, and also covers hyperparameter sweeps, artifact versioning and a model registry. Its Weave product traces LLM calls and agent steps and runs evaluations of AI applications. There's a mobile app for checking training runs on iOS. W&B has a free plan for personal projects, a paid Pro plan with a free trial, an Enterprise tier with SSO and audit logs, and free access for academic research; its plans are now sold under CoreWeave Forge branding. It's widely used in research labs, though costs can grow with storage and data ingestion.
