About Weylus Community Edition

Weylus Community Edition is a maintained build of Weylus, an open-source app that lets a tablet or phone act as a drawing tablet, touch screen or mirrored display for your computer. You start Weylus on the computer and open the address it shows (or scan its QR code) in the tablet's web browser; no app is needed on the tablet. It mirrors the screen or a single window, sends pen, touch and keyboard input back, and uses hardware video encoding to keep latency down. It works on Linux, Windows and macOS, but Linux gets the most: stylus pressure and tilt, multi-touch for apps such as Krita, drawing into specific windows, and a second-screen mode. The Community Edition bundles patches for Wayland and iOS compatibility and stylus pressure on macOS, and is available on Flathub. It is free. It suits artists and note-takers on Linux who want an iPad or Android tablet as a pen display without buying one.

Best for: Linux artists who want to use a tablet as a pressure-sensitive pen display.
