About XSplit Broadcaster
XSplit Broadcaster is a long-running streaming and recording app for Windows used by gamers, podcasters and people running online presentations. You build scenes from games, cameras, browser sources, media and remote guests captured from call apps, then stream to Twitch, YouTube, Facebook or any custom RTMP server. It includes webcam background blur, removal and replacement without a green screen, chroma key, a preview editor for professional scene switching, recording profiles that capture different scenes at once, NDI output and a plugin store. It can also act as a virtual camera in Zoom, Teams or Discord. The free version works for personal use but caps the number of scenes and adds a small watermark above 720p; premium is sold as a monthly, yearly or one-off lifetime licence and adds multistreaming, unlimited scenes and commercial use. It is Windows-only, so Mac and Linux users need something else.
Best for: Windows streamers and presenters who prefer a one-time licence over a subscription.
