Both apps are free on Android and iOS and only useful for customers of their own network. They recharge prepaid numbers, pay postpaid bills, show data usage and manage several connections from one login. The bigger decision is whether Airtel or Vi has better coverage and plans where you live; the app follows from that.

Airtel Thanks is the broader app. One login can manage mobile, home Wi-Fi, DTH and FASTag connections, which suits households that keep everything with Airtel. It doubles as a payments app with UPI, utility bills and an Airtel Payments Bank zero-balance savings account, and it offers loans and credit cards through partner lenders. A rewards section lets you claim bundled streaming subscriptions such as Netflix, Prime Video and JioHotstar depending on your plan, and a call manager flags spam calls.
