About Beekeeper Studio

Beekeeper Studio is a SQL editor and database manager that puts a clean, modern interface first. It works with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, SQL Server, CockroachDB, Redshift and more, offering a tabbed SQL editor with autocomplete, an editable spreadsheet view of table data, schema and index editing, query and connection folders, and SSH tunnels. Paid tiers add a JSON sidebar, editing query results directly, import and export, backup and restore, an AI shell, cloud workspaces and support for additional databases. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. Most of the code is open source under the GPLv3 as the free Community Edition, while paid features live in the same repository under a commercial licence. Paid plans are per-user subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly, and include a lifetime licence for the version you have when you cancel. It is less feature-dense than DBeaver or DataGrip, which is exactly the appeal for many users.

Best for: Developers who want an easy, good-looking SQL client on any desktop OS.
