About Braintrust
Braintrust is an evaluation-first platform for teams building on large language models. You send traces from your app through SDKs for Python, TypeScript, Go, Ruby, C# and other languages, then score outputs with LLM-as-a-judge, ready-made autoevals or your own code, and compare experiments side by side before a prompt or model change ships. A playground lets engineers and product people try prompts against saved datasets, and a built-in agent called Loop can generate test cases and suggest prompt changes. Pricing is usage-based: a free Starter plan includes a monthly allowance of processed data and scores with unlimited users, a Pro plan adds longer retention, custom charts and RBAC, and Enterprise adds on-prem or hosted deployment, SSO and a BAA. It is a closed-source SaaS, though some SDKs and eval libraries are open source on GitHub.
