About Galileo

Galileo is an evaluation and observability platform for LLM apps and AI agents. It ships with more than 20 ready-made evaluators for RAG, agents, safety and security, lets teams build custom evaluators from expert annotations, and then distils those expensive LLM-as-a-judge checks into its own small Luna models so every production request can be scored cheaply and blocked or rerouted when it fails. An insights engine looks across traces to point out failure patterns and suggest fixes. It can run as SaaS, in a virtual private cloud or on-premises. Cisco completed its acquisition of Galileo in 2026, and the product is now sold as Splunk Agent Observability within Splunk Observability Cloud, priced by span volume and billed annually. The galileo.ai site still offers sign-up and documentation, but buyers should expect to deal with Splunk.

Best for: Enterprises, especially Splunk or Cisco customers, wanting guardrails on all agent traffic.
