About Camunda Modeler

Camunda Modeler is the modelling tool of Camunda, a process orchestration platform. The desktop version is a free, open-source app built on the bpmn.io toolkit for drawing BPMN process diagrams, DMN decision tables and Camunda forms. Unlike general diagram tools, the models are meant to run: you add technical properties to tasks and gateways and deploy the diagram straight to a Camunda engine, either Camunda SaaS or a self-managed install, so the drawing is the executable process. A web-based Modeler with real-time collaboration and AI-assisted drafting is part of Camunda 8's cloud offering, which has a free trial and paid plans. The desktop app runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and is aimed at developers and process analysts who work alongside an IDE. People who only need BPMN pictures for documentation may find a general diagramming tool simpler.
