About Eraser
Eraser is a web app that combines technical design documents with diagrams written in its own diagram-as-code syntax, so engineers can describe cloud architecture, sequence, ERD and flow diagrams in text, see them rendered with proper icons, and then adjust visually on a canvas. Its AI can generate diagrams from prompts, code or existing docs, and an Eraserbot can keep codebase diagrams updated from your GitHub repositories. There are integrations for Confluence, Notion, VS Code and GitHub, and a diagramming API for automation. The free plan is enough to try it but limits you to a few files and AI credits; Business and enterprise plans are billed per member and are priced well above general diagram tools, reflecting its focus on engineering teams. It is less suited to non-technical diagramming such as org charts or marketing visuals.
Best for: Engineering teams writing design docs and architecture diagrams together.
