About Whimsical
Whimsical is a browser-based visual workspace known for making flowcharts and wireframes quick to draw. Shapes snap into place, connectors route themselves and the default styling looks tidy without effort, so product teams use it for user flows, sequence sketches, low-fidelity wireframes and mind maps alongside lightweight docs. Boards sit on an infinite canvas, and AI features can turn a prompt into a flowchart, mind map or wireframe. Collaboration is real-time, viewers and guests are free, and there are Slack and GitHub integrations plus desktop apps for macOS and Windows. The free plan is for trying it out: it caps how many board objects and doc blocks you can create each month and watermarks exports. Paid Pro and Business plans are billed per editor. It deliberately lacks heavy technical notation, data linking and large shape libraries, so engineering or enterprise diagramming tends to outgrow it.
