About Chat2DB

Chat2DB is a database client and SQL workspace that puts AI at the centre. Alongside a conventional SQL editor, table browser, data editing, ER diagrams and import and export, it lets you describe what you want in plain language and generates, explains, optimises or fixes SQL using a model of your choice, including your own API keys or local models. It connects to more than 40 databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, SQLite, ClickHouse and Redis, and can generate charts and dashboards from query results. It is available as a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux, as a web or Docker deployment, and as a CLI with MCP support for agents. A free community edition is open source on GitHub, while paid Local and Pro plans add more features. Its licensing and editions have changed over time, so check the current terms for commercial use.
