About CodinGame
CodinGame turns programming practice into games. Its best-known mode is bot programming: you write a program that plays a game such as a racing or strategy match against other players' bots, then climb leagues on a leaderboard. There are also optimisation puzzles scored on test cases, code golf for the shortest working solution, classic puzzles, and Clash of Code, a five-minute coding duel. Seasonal contests run several times a year. Recently the site added an API and agent skills so AI coding agents can read the rules, play test games and submit on a user's behalf, while the arcade puzzles stay human-only. It runs in the browser with an in-site editor and supports many languages. Playing is free; the company is part of CoderPad, which sells hiring assessments. It suits developers who enjoy competitive, game-like challenges more than interview drills.
Best for: Developers who want game-style coding challenges and bot-programming contests.
Pros and cons

- Runs only in the browser, with no offline mode
- Contest schedule is limited to a few events a year
