Copy.ai began as a simple generator for ad copy, product descriptions and social posts, and has since rebuilt itself as a 'GTM AI' platform for sales and marketing teams. The core is still a chat interface with access to OpenAI, Anthropic and Google models, brand voice settings and saved projects, but the emphasis has moved to workflows: automations that research accounts, enrich CRM records, process inbound leads, write prospecting emails and produce or translate content in bulk. Its Chat plan for small teams is priced per month for a handful of seats, while Growth and larger plans are sold by seat bundles and workflow credits and run to thousands per month. That makes it a different proposition from a personal writing assistant. Teams that want repeatable sales and marketing processes get a lot of automation; individuals who only want copy help will find cheaper and simpler tools elsewhere.
