About Dashlane

Dashlane is a long-running commercial password manager that stores passwords, passkeys, payment cards and notes in an encrypted vault and fills them through browser extensions and mobile apps. Its personal Premium plan adds dark-web monitoring, real-time scam and phishing warnings and a VPN provided through a partnership with Hotspot Shield, while the Family plan covers up to ten people under one subscription. On the business side the company now sells the product as Omnix, combining shared vaults and admin policies with credential-risk reporting, SSO and SCIM provisioning and SIEM integrations. Dashlane dropped its long-standing free tier, so it is now a paid service with a free trial for both personal and business plans. There is no desktop app any more: on computers it runs as a browser extension and web app, with native apps for iOS and Android. It suits people and companies who want a guided, low-maintenance experience and are happy to pay for extras such as phishing protection.

Best for: People and companies who want a guided, paid manager with phishing alerts and extras built in.
