About Doppler

Doppler is a cloud secrets manager for development teams. You organise secrets by project and environment, inject them at runtime with the Doppler CLI or service tokens, and sync them automatically to platforms such as AWS Secrets Manager, GCP Secret Manager, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions and Terraform Cloud. Secrets referencing, change history and activity logs help keep environments consistent, and encrypted fallback files let local development continue offline. Doppler is SOC 2 certified. The Developer plan is free for up to three users, with a small charge per extra user, while Team and Enterprise plans add SAML SSO, role-based access, change requests and more, with a 14-day trial on Team. It is hosted only, with no self-hosted edition. It suits teams that want to replace scattered .env files with a managed service rather than running Vault.

Best for: Development teams that want hosted secrets management with no infrastructure to run.
