About Dynalist

Dynalist is a web-based outliner in the style of Workflowy, with documents organised in a file tree instead of one giant list. Each document is a set of nested bullets you can zoom into, tag, date, check off and format with Markdown, and it supports bookmarks, sharing and collaboration, export and a desktop app that works offline. The free plan includes unlimited items and documents, which is more generous than many outliners. Pro adds features such as full version history, automatic backups to Dropbox or Google Drive, file uploads, custom CSS and Google Calendar integration, with a 14-day trial. It runs on the web, Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android. Dynalist was made by the same founders who went on to create Obsidian, and development has slowed a lot since then, so updates are rare. It suits people who want a capable outliner for free and don't need new features.

Best for: People who want a capable outliner with an unlimited free plan.
