About Workflowy

Workflowy is one of the oldest outliners on the web: everything is a single, endless list of bullets that you can nest as deep as you like, zoom into and collapse. On top of that simple base it adds tags and mentions, date tags, links and backlinks, mirrors that show the same bullet in several places, templates, boards and sharing for collaboration. It is quick to learn and works well for task lists, meeting notes, writing outlines and personal planning. The free Basic plan includes all features but limits how many new bullets you can add each month and how much you can upload; Pro removes those limits. It runs on the web, Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android. The trade-offs are that it is outline-only, so there are no rich documents or databases, and data lives in Workflowy's cloud. It suits people who think in lists and want something simpler than Roam or Tana.

Best for: People who think in nested lists and want a fast, uncomplicated outliner.
