About Google Apps Script

Google Apps Script lets you write JavaScript that runs on Google's servers and talks to Google Workspace: Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms, Gmail, Calendar, Drive and more. Scripts are written in a browser editor, saved to Drive, and can be bound to a single spreadsheet or document or stand on their own. Typical uses are custom spreadsheet functions and macros, menus and sidebars inside Docs or Sheets, scheduled jobs and form-submit triggers, small web apps, and Workspace add-ons. It can also call external APIs over HTTP and connect to outside databases. There is nothing to install and no separate bill: it is included with a Google account, but daily quotas and a per-run time limit apply, and Workspace accounts get higher quotas than personal Gmail accounts. Unlike Zapier or Make there is no visual builder, so you need to be comfortable writing code, but in return you get far more control over Google data than a no-code connector gives you.
