About Workato

Workato is an enterprise iPaaS that combines application integration, workflow automation, API management and, increasingly, AI agents in one platform. Automations are called recipes and are built in a low-code editor that business technologists can use, while IT keeps control through governance, environments, logging and role-based access. It connects to a very large set of SaaS apps, databases, files and on-premises systems, the latter through on-premise agents, and offers chatbots for Slack and Teams, an enterprise MCP layer and an employee assistant. Workato is mainly bought by mid-sized and large companies that want one platform across departments, for flows like quote-to-cash, employee onboarding and data sync between ERP and CRM. Pricing is not published as a list price: plans are sold as editions with a usage-based consumption component, negotiated through sales. That puts it out of reach for small teams, and the breadth can be more than simple automation needs. It is browser-based.
