About Google Password Manager
Google Password Manager is the password store built into Chrome on every platform and into Android, where it is the default autofill service. It saves and fills passwords and passkeys, generates new passwords, and runs Password Checkup to flag passwords that are compromised, reused or weak. On iPhone and iPad it can autofill in other apps once Chrome is chosen as the AutoFill provider. Passwords sync through your Google Account, and you can turn on on-device encryption so that only you can read them. It is free, with no premium tier, and you manage everything at passwords.google.com or in Chrome settings. The trade-off is scope: there are no secure notes beyond a basic field, limited sharing, and no business administration. It suits people who use Chrome and Android and want something capable with no setup.
Best for: Chrome and Android users who want a free manager with nothing extra to install.
