About gopass

gopass is a free, open-source command-line password manager written in Go that builds on the ideas of pass. Secrets are encrypted with GPG (or age) and stored in Git repositories, so you get full history and can sync through any Git host. It adds features that pass leaves to plugins: multiple stores mounted side by side, sharing a store with a team by encrypting for several recipients, templates, OTP codes, and a JSON API used by its Firefox and Chrome bridge. Companion tools cover browser autofill, a Git credential helper and Have I Been Pwned checks. It runs on macOS, Linux and Windows. It suits developers and technical teams who live in the terminal and want secrets in Git without a hosted service.
