About Intruder

Intruder is a cloud-based vulnerability scanner aimed at small and mid-sized companies without a dedicated security team. It scans internet-facing servers, websites, APIs, container images and cloud accounts on a schedule, runs extra checks when new threats appear, and turns results into a prioritised list with a cyber hygiene score that is easy to share with auditors or customers. Under the hood it combines engines including Nuclei, OpenVAS and Tenable, with its own checks on top. Higher plans add authenticated web app testing, agents for internal servers and laptops, more cloud accounts and attack surface discovery, and Intruder also sells AI-assisted web application pentests. Pricing is a base fee plus a per-target licence, billed monthly or yearly, and there is a limited free plan and a 14-day trial of the Cloud plan. Its reports are popular for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 evidence. Large enterprises with deep internal networks may find it lighter than Qualys or Tenable.

Best for: Small and mid-sized companies that need easy external and cloud scanning for compliance.
