About iStat Menus
iStat Menus, from Australian developer Bjango, puts system statistics in the macOS menu bar. Each item, such as CPU, GPU, memory, disks, network, sensors, battery, time and weather, can show a compact graph or number in the bar and opens a detailed menu with history charts, top processes, S.M.A.R.T. disk status, public and private IP addresses, Bluetooth device battery levels and more. Fan speeds can be controlled on supported Macs, rules can notify you when something changes, such as high CPU use, low disk space or an internet outage, and a combined mode merges several items into one to save space. It includes world clocks and a detailed weather forecast, with weather included for a limited period and then sold separately. Bjango says the app and website have no ads, analytics or tracking. It is a one-time paid licence with single and family options and a trial, and also comes with Setapp. It runs only on macOS 13.5 or later.
Best for: Mac users who want detailed system stats and alerts in the menu bar.
